Ailing footballer Ezekiel Otuoma's wife, Rachel, has opened up about the emotional and physical exhaustion she goes through daily while taking care of her husband.

The prolific footballer is suffering from a degenerating condition called motor neurone disease, also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Rachel Otuoma recalls fake friend's advice

While in an interview with Oga Obinna, Rachel broke down, narrating how she feels like running away sometimes, moving the YouTuber to tears.

"Sometimes I usually feel like running away and leaving Otuoma, but when I look at my Otuoma, I feel pity. People judge a lot they do not know how I feel staying with a sick person. It is so painful being with someone like this in that condition. I cry every day because Otuoma is hurting every day. This situation is draining me, it is like trauma to me," she said.

She also noted how one of her friends told her to dump the footballer, saying that if things were reversed, he would have remarried.

"She told me to put myself in Otuoma's shoes and said that Otuoma would have remarried and with kids and you are still sitting there. I cannot leave Otuoma. I swear I can't," she said.

Rachel also thanked her family for supporting her and recalled her mother's warning about ditching her husband because of his condition.

Rachel Otuoma on seeking prayers for hubby's healing

Rachel recently narrated that they tried different pastors, hoping to get healing for the prominent ailing footballer.

She claimed she paid Kilifi-based preacher Ezekiel Odero some money, who told them that Otuoma's problem was with his family.

Rachel added that she started with KSh 5,000 and explained that people usually leave money at Ezekiel's altar, depending on their chosen number. However, the prayers did not work.
