The family of the late Rtd Elder Eng Kenneth Kungu Wainaina, who sadly died while delivering announcements in church, has hailed him as a devoted father to his three children and cherished husband to his wife.

Additionally, they praised him for his good relationship with his grandchildren, Mikyler Njeri Mwangi, Juan Njau Njunguna, and Luciana Wanjiku Mwangi.

"Elder Kenneth served with dedication at the Ministry of Works and at the New KCC Ltd before retiring in 2017. Post-retirement, he has been engaging in engineering through contracts until his passing on May 19," read a part of the obituary in the Daily Nation.

Kenneth's body will leave Kenyatta University Teaching and Referal Home on May 28, to his farm in Nakuru, Ngacura area, for final rites.

Pastor collapses after prayer

In 2023, pastor Sally of House of Grace Church in Nairobi collapsed during a National Prayer Day function at Nyayo stadium.

President William Ruto, accompanied by pastors and politicians, thronged Nyayo Stadium for National Prayer Day.

Ruto said the prayers aimed to seek God's intervention to end, among other issues, the drought and hunger facing the country.
