Judy described her brother as her best friend in her heartfelt tribute to the fallen soldier. She said:

"Praise God, he was my best friend. My tribute would be a million pages, but I only managed a paragraph. My beloved brother, you were more than a sibling. You were my best friend. I'm broken that you are no more. The hard and saddest part is not losing you but imagining life without you. I was the fire you were the water.
You knew the right things to say. You always fought for me and protected me. My brother was a great favourite with everybody. Goodbye, you deserve eternal rest. He loved the song Majina Yote Mazuri, and I would like to sing the chorus for him."

How did George Magondu's widow honour him?
