An 83-year-old grandmother who married an Egyptian toyboy is warning people to beware of scammers and con artists on dating websites.

Iris Jones made headlines after she met Mohamed Ibrahim on Facebook in June 2019.

She soon jetted off to Cairo, Egypt, to meet him and married him the following year.

But last year, Iris announced that the duo were going their separate ways, explaining that she replaced him with a cat after dubbing him evil and like a sewer rat.

Their relationship collapsed after Iris, who lives in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, claimed she had been footing the bill for Mohamed's debts and lending him large amounts of money.

Iris Jones' warning message

According to Mirror, Iris is now warning online daters to be wary about who they get involved with.

Iris took to Facebook recently to share her advice.

She said:

"A warning to all vulnerable women online, chatting to scammers and con-artists, thinking they are messaging genuine males on legitimate dating sites. Be aware that they are only interested in getting their filthy paws on your money and will sweet-talk you for weeks or even months in order to achieve their goals."

Irish claims she has been targeted by four scammers in the last few months.

"You picked the wrong woman this time because I make it my business to expose scammers such as you. I have really enjoyed being the puppet master, having you dance my tune," she said.

Mohamed heartbroken after Being dumped by new lover

Previously, Mohamed was ditched by his new lover, who caught him texting another pensioner.

Angela Rogers thought she had found true love when she started going out with Mohamed weeks after he split from Iris.

Angela said she received a Facebook message from a 69-year-old widow after posting a photo of her and Mohamed.
