An anonymous 28-year-old Kenyan man wrote:

"I work in Qatar earning KSh 150,000. However, I have no savings as I have been sending all my income home. I come from a humble background and I have been supporting my siblings by paying their school fees. I have also been sending money to my parents to finish incomplete projects, including their two-bedroom house, which stalled. I think they are demanding too much money and misusing it. Another reason I do not have savings is black tax, and I am tired. Do I quit and return to Kenya?"

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Muchoki advised him to research high-demand jobs in Qatar and learn the skills. He also asked him to consider taking an extra shift to raise more money.

This he said, will help the 28-year-old increase his earnings, which he would then save.

"You can improve your earnings while in Qatar by learning a skill that is paying well and in high demand. Do research to identify the best employment opportunities and their cost implications. Since you don't have savings, consider working an extra shift to raise more funds for upgrading your employable skills," Muchoki explained.

ECD teacher wants to quit the job

In a related story, a 39-year-old woman who works as an Early Childhood Education (ECD) teacher said she earns good money but wants to quit the job due to frustrations.

The lady who sought anonymity explained that her monthly salary is KSh 45,000, but her bosses want her to bow to the children's parents, who do not understand her.

She revealed that she has KSh 500,000 in savings and has, in the past, tried out many businesses to no avail, asking for financial advice on what to do since she has a family that depends on her.

Muchoki advised the lady to put on hold plans to quit and start building a new income stream venture.
