Jeff Mwathi: Mum Of Designer Who Fell From Kasarani Building Lovingly Washes Grave, Sings For Him

The late Jeff Mwathi's mum, Anita Mwas, has shown him love even in death after going to his grave and lovingly washing it.

Mwathi falls from DJ Fatxo's apartment

On February 2, 2023, Kenyans were taken aback by the gruesome death of the interior designer at the home of Mugithi star, DJ Fatxo.

At the time, the DJ fell out of favour with most Kenyans, and despite being exonerated of the death, he claimed his life was affected by it.

Mwathi's mum never accepted the results of the investigations.

A TikTok video shared by @anitamwas showed Mwathi's beautiful marble grave; the headstone has the form of a bible with a verse, his photo and a cross.

"Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ, not even death," read a verse on the left side of the 'bible'.

"I have fought the good fight, I have kept the faith, I have finished the race," read the right part.

In the video, Anita, beautiful as ever, was shown washing the grave with soap and water accompanied by another woman.

Once done, Anita lay on the grave and sweetly sang to her son.

Unlike the other times when she was seen looking gloomy and in tears because of the grieving experience, this time, she was smiling.

Anita's gesture touched many people who thronged her comment section to praise her.

Some identified with the grieving process, while others also talked about Mwathi's case, which they felt was never concluded well or as per their expectations.

"I've never had the strength to visit my sister's grave since we left her there nine months ago, I might die if I go there; I've never accepted."

"You have to visit God will give you strength dear," Anita consoled her.

DJ Fatxo refused to view Mwathi's remains

Detectives could not implicate the disc jokey who refused to view Mwathi's body because he is afraid of dead bodies.

In its findings, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations explained the chronology of events on the day Jeff's body came falling down from Fatxo's 10-floor apartment.
