Young Joe Mwadulo, the Chavakali High School student who died in a road accident has been buried in Embu county, and his schoolmates showed up to stand with the family and bid him goodbye.

Joe Mwadulo loved by basketball fraternity

The young boys touched the hearts of many when they carried the body of the basketball enthusiast, Mwadulo who was Mugithi singer KarehB's son, to the car.

The teens patiently stood on the fringes as people trooped to see the body in the casket, and once they were done, they moved and picked up Mwadulo's body and the cross that would be used along with the casket.

The body of the young man was ferried to Embu for burial.

According to Abel Maina, Mwadulo's coach at Chavakali High School, he was a shooting guy.

"Chavakali would not start without Joe on the shooting and he led the school to the regionals. The basketball fraternity in Western really loved him," said Maina.

"Joe was voted as the best player and Chavakali took number 3 in the national games," he added.

Joe Mwadulo's mum falls after viewing him

During the removal of the body, Mwadulo's mum, KarehB, fell down weeping bitterly after viewing his body at the mortuary.

In a recent eulogy, she said her 17-year-old was an obedient son who was also a basketball enthusiast and identified Michael Jordan as his role model.

Kelvin Mwangi, Mwadulo's cousin, said the young man who studied at Chavakali Boys' High School always wanted to become a family man.
