The couple's journey began over a decade ago when Stancil, who resides in Missouri, lost his first wife.

Couple met in Kenya during missionary trip

Deborah, his Kenyan wife, entered his life during a missionary trip to Kenya, sparking an instant connection.

Their union blossomed into marriage, with Stancil adopting Deborah's daughter and the couple welcoming a baby girl. Despite their plans to relocate to the US, the process was derailed by the denial of Deborah's visa at the US Embassy in Kenya.

Stancil questioned the discrepancy in the approval of his daughter's visa but the rejection of his wife's, leading to their painful separation. With their children split between countries, Stancil appealed for government intervention, stressing the hardships of their situation.
