A Kenyan woman working in the Gulf, Angel Wafula, has gone viral for erecting her house in 27 days.

Angel had a dream of building a house for her daughter, and in an interview with TUKO.co.ke, she disclosed that she started working in Gulf countries in 2012.

She had given birth and could not support her young one, which pushed her to Saudi Arabia.

"My journey to the Gulf began in 2012 March after I gave birth to my girl, and I was so broke I could not afford to support her. I left her with my mother at 3 months and went to Saudi Arabia as a nanny! It was tough, but we persevered for 2 years. Came back to Kenya and did a diploma course in project management."

How Kenyan woman built house in 27 days

She challenged herself to build one while on leave and was glad it came out as expected, although it's yet to be finished.

Why 27 days - I was on my leave and of course I saw in TikTok someone built a house in 30 days, I told myself whatever I have I will start to build and wherever it gets, I will continue when I get my leave again.
I did push my engineer and construction workers and I’m glad they delivered. I'm finishing up on the plastering, then I go continue with my hustle. "

Angel's luck changed over the years, as she now worked with a construction company in Qatar. She revealed that her daughter was her strength through the years.

"I did some more hustling, and now I work with an amazing company in Qatar. It’s been a journey but my daughter is my strength. She makes me strive for the best. I want her to have a quality education and, of course, a better place. I’ve suffered in this life, but I always believe God can never let me go through what I can’t handle."
