In a statement on Friday, May 31, the lawmaker confirmed the passing of his mother Agnetta Okello.

Ojienda was responding to President William Ruto's condolence message, thanking him for being thoughtful and supportive during his grieving period.

'On behalf of my family and myself, we thank you Mr. President for your message of condolence. We are also grateful for your support and words of encouragement during this difficult time," he wrote.
