Amidst ongoing heavy rainfall wreaking havoc across the country, CNN reporter Larry Madowo has brought attention to the flooding crisis at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

Madowo has been highlighting the issue of leaky roofs at JKIA in recent weeks, urging Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen to take action.

In his latest report, Madowo shared a video exposing the extent of flooding at the airport's cargo zone.

The footage revealed freshly packed flowers, neatly stored in a cold storage area, now floating in the water. This damage was inflicted by heavy downpours on Saturday night, April 27.

7 die in Baringo boat accident

Meanwhile, a boat carrying 23 students capsized in Lake Baringo leading to the demise of seven students.

16 of the students were rescued as two families lost their beloved children in the tragedy.

A mother of four lamented losing three of her children as only her firstborn was saved when the accident happened.
