Who was saved from Pastor Simon's family?

Pastor Simon tragically lost his family and almost all his possessions in the deluge.

In a touching TikTok video by Bishop David Thagana, Pastor Simon recounted the traumatic events that unfolded as the floods engulfed his home and loved ones.

"He would cry 'nisaidie nisaidie' (help me, help me)! So when the floods subsided, I was told that they could see him but there was no way to rescue him," he recalled.

"Few moments later, they were able to pull him out and they said 'huyu ni mtoto wa pastor' (this is the pastor's child). That's how my child was saved," said Simon.

However, Pastor Simon's mother was not saved. Her body was found very far from their home. On the other hand, his wife was rescued, and he credits her rescue to God.

The pulpit gown remains untouched

Despite the overwhelming loss he endured, Pastor Simon found solace in a remarkable discovery.

"I had so many things, even a huge fridge, but the only thing I was able to save was a towel," he lamented.

He, however, discovered an unexpected symbol of hope amidst the wreckage - his pulpit gown miraculously untouched by the destructive waters.

"I am happy and thank God because despite losing everything, I still have the gown that I wear while preaching," Pastor Simon shared.

His pulpit gown's survival amidst the destruction is a powerful symbol of resilience and the enduring strength of faith in the face of adversity.
