Man Kush Cautions Churchgoers Against Asking Him For Fare After Giving Offering: "Enda Mguu"

Pastor Paul Kuria, aka Man Kush, has disclosed that he will not help congregants who give offerings in church and then turn to him for financial help.

Why Man Kush won't help people who give in church

In an interview with comedian Oga Obinna, Man Kush emphasised the importance of giving within one’s capacity.

He expressed concern over congregants who deplete their resources to match the offerings of wealthier members, only to seek aid later.

He gave an example of a congregant giving an offering only to wait for the pastor after a sermon and ask him for fare back home.

In such an instance, Man Kush said he would not offer help, saying they should have considered their financial situation before giving.

He explained that nobody asked the congregant to give all they had in offering.

"Mi kanisani blue springs huwezikuja utoe sadaka uningoje hapo nje 'eti pastor sina fare'...we enda mguu, ulikuwa unatoa nani alikuitisha? Ulikuwa unatishana na wale watu Mungu alikuwa amebariki," the preacher said.

Man Kush: Prayer is not magic

The preacher also disclosed that he has a strong dislike for Christians who expect God to magically bless them with money after praying.

"Nachukia wakristo wanaofikiria ukiomba Mungu atakuteremshia pesa...if you want money, you have to work because money is a reward after solving someone's problems. Lakini, some Christians are very lazy and, especially churchgoers," he explained.

Man Kush also revealed that he dislikes people who take advantage of others for material gain.

"Ati Obinna siwezikuja kusimama na wewe when you are in need of me, lakini nawezakuja hapa nikae chini kwa sherehe," the pastor said.

The pastor also cautioned congregants against calling him to give their testimonies, saying his phone was strictly for business.

"Simu yangu si ya kutolewa ushuhuda. Hii si kanisa. This is my business gadget," he said, motioning to the phone.

Man Kush says he falters like ordinary people

Finally, the preacher, who also doubles up as a comedian, disclosed that his faith sometimes wanes just like ordinary people.

He explained that when he is experiencing tough times, he sometimes questions the existence of God.

"Sometimes, even me and I am a bishop, I feel that there is no God because of the situation I am going through. Lakini siambii mtu, nanyamaza," he said, explaining that everyone has terrible thoughts, even preachers.

Man Kush says broke people are nothing

The man of God said people should stop pretending they are from a different world and remember that they need money to live.

He explained that he talks about money because of the practicality that comes with that he says most people tend to be oblivious to.
