Renowned Kikuyu gospel singer Mary Lincon is now an ordained pastor, marking a significant milestone in her spiritual journey.

How did Thuku defend Lincon?

The transition from gospel singer to pastor generated mixed reactions but has found a staunch defender in Wahome Thuku.

In a Facebook post, Thuku highlighted the significance of Mary Lincon’s transformation, asserting that it aligns perfectly with the principles of the gospel.

"Do you see what has happened to Mary Lincon? That is exactly what is supposed to happen in the gospel of Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God," he wrote.
"Not the other way around. Not how you think it should," Thuku added.

The ordination ceremony, officiated by Bishop JJ and attended by hundreds of devoted congregants, took place on Sunday, May 12, at Proposed Priesthood Fellowship Church.

Lincon breaks down during her ordination

The ceremony was emotionally charged, with Mary Lincon seen sobbing uncontrollably as she was anointed with oil.

At one point, she was overpowered by the Holy Spirit, falling to the ground as preachers prayed fervently over her.

Two female preachers assisted her in remaining on her feet as she cried profusely, a testament to the profound impact of the moment.

After regaining her composure, Mary Lincon addressed the congregation with a heartfelt vow to serve the Lord with dedication.

"I will be true to my calling and anointing; I will respect, honour, value, and defend the sole doctrine of the word of God. I will obey and adhere to the instructions of the... I will defend my church... I will honour and respect all my seniors," she declared.

Mary Lincon and Njogu wa Njoroge part ways

The veteran radio presenter fuelled breakup rumours after he shared photos with a mysterious woman.

The polygamous man woman looked happy in the snaps, and he referred to her as "mine".

Mary has been keeping her love life under wraps, and it is unclear if she is in a relationship.
