Divinar Ogari, a mother of five, has celebrated Mother's Day by going down memory lane and reflecting on how motherhood changed her.

In a video on Facebook, the Swahili teacher disclosed that her life took a different turn when she gave birth to quadruplets.

How Divinar's career path changed

The clip captured a moment from the past when all the babies were crying simultaneously after messing up the house.

She disclosed that the video, taken five years ago, reminds her how far she has come as the quadruplets turn eight years in June.

Divinar explained that she treasured the tiny humans because they forced her to make career changes that have made her who she is.

She was forced to stop being a classroom teacher and forge a career teaching Swahili online.

"How else could I have survived in this career space? Working online works perfectly for me," she said with pride.

Struggles with raising quadruplets

Divinar's followers questioned how she remained sane despite the tantrums, crying, and struggle of raising four babies simultaneously.

Ndanu Ndanu:

"What made them cry at once like a radio that had been switched on?"

Akoya Akoya:

"This could have made you run mad. Happy mother's day Divinar Swahili Teacher."

Luokiddoh Destiny Son:

"Words will never be enough to thank you for all the sacrifices you have made for me and express my love for you."

Divinar is proud of the journey

When reached for comment, Divinar told TUKO.co.ke that the journey was difficult, but she navigated through patience.

"When they are yours, you only have one option of being sane because you are their hero," she said.

The burden of motherhood has lessened as the children grow older, but that has been replaced with high expenses in school fees.

As the world celebrates Mother's Day, Divinar looks back at where she's come from with the quadruplets and bursts with pride for a job well done.

Man celebrates himself for raising kids singlehandedly

Elsewhere, a single father of two celebrated himself for caring for his two children in their mother's absence.

Mbhodla Malinga caused a stir online after throwing shade at his partner, whom he called an "egg donor."

His sentiments sparked conversation on the need for society to talk about deadbeat mothers as it does with fathers.
