A Mzungu man has impressed Kenyans with his command of the Samburu language.

In a TikTok video shared by @ke_media1, the man, who identified himself as Max from Sweden, spoke fluent Samburu at a local gathering.

The locals laughed as he spoke, wowed by his mastery of the language.

Max was dressed in a Samburu outfit with shukas tied around his waist and one draped over his shoulder.

He was also wearing beaded jewellery and the akala (car tyre) sandals preferred mainly by the Samburu and Maasai people.

The man even had red ochre applied to his hair, as is typically done by Samburu and Maasai warriors.

On his head was a traditional headband adorned with flowers.

He took the microphone from a Samburu man beside him and introduced himself to the crowd's amazement.

In a video shared on her Instagram, Jacky addressed a group at an Itara.

Itara is one of the traditional Kikuyu ceremonies that make up a traditional marriage.

Jacky took the microphone and spoke fluent Kikuyu, a language that is not native to her, as the audience listened in awe.
