John Njoroge, a hardworking turnboy, caught the attention of his employer through his unwavering commitment and work ethic.

In a gesture that moved the entrepreneur, Njoroge braved the wet conditions to onload machine-cut stones from the truck.

Brayo says the employee refused to back down despite requests to hold on until the adverse weather conditions changed.
Impressed by Njoroge’s consistent efforts, the kind employer paid him for his work ethic by investing in his future.
From turnboy to driver
Brayo told TUKO.co.ke that he employed the turnboy two and a half years ago through a referral, and he's been impressive.
“His unwavering dedication and strong work ethic made me take notice. As someone who oversees a team of over 28 employees, recognizing exceptional commitment is crucial,” he shared.
Brayo sent the hardworking turnboy KSh 5,000 to treat himself to a good meal after work to show gratitude.
He also generously offered to pay for Njoroge’s driving course, after which he will be promoted to a driver position within the company’s new fleet.
Acknowledging acts of compassion
This promotion will recognize his hard work and provide him with a life-changing opportunity.
“We must appreciate such actions. As CEOs, we are responsible for uplifting our workforce and recognising their contributions,” he said.

Brayo Ndarugo's rise from broker to business owner
In an earlier story on TUKO.co.ke, Brayo Ndarugo wa Mawe disclosed that he plunged into the construction industry as a broker who depended on people's trucks to deliver materials.
His first profit was in 2019 when he earned KSh 900 from a deal to supply machine-cut stones.
Four years later, Brayo owns eight trucks and operates a working quarry.
