Oyiengo's voice trembled with grief as he recounted the tragic events that unfolded on Tuesday, April 23, when floods mercilessly claimed the lives of four of his family members and a neighbour.

Speaking to reporters, Oyiengo shared the unimaginable pain of losing his mother, his aunt, and two nephews, who were all swept away by the raging floodwaters that inundated their home.

With tears in his eyes, Oyiengo described how the torrential rains breached their defences, causing the walls to collapse and crush his loved ones in an instant.

"The water came, and the walls couldn't hold. It collapsed and took them all away," Oyiengo painfully recalled, his voice choked with emotion.

Amidst the wreckage, Oyiengo displayed a handbag that belonged to his mother, a poignant reminder of the cherished memories now lost forever.

According to reports from Citizen TV, the search for Oyiengo's missing family members continues.

In a cruel twist of fate, Oyiengo revealed that their neighbour, seeking refuge from the rising waters, also perished alongside his three children in the tragedy.

"Mimi nimepotesa familia yangu yote waliokuwa kwa nyumba. Maji ilikuja ikazidi ukuta, ikabomoa ukuta ikawafinya wote," he lamented.
