Woman dies at Kapsabet County Referral Hospital

Citizen Digital reported that, Isaac Chepngok who is ged 57, was found dead in his homestead hours after a fight with his 55-year-old wife.

Lolminingai location chief Monica Mitei said Chepngok seriously injured his wife using a crude weapon.

The wife was rushed to Kapsabet County Referral Hospital, where she died while undergoing treatment.

The area chief said the close family member of the couple disclosed that persistent domestic squabbles occasioned the physical fights that turned tragic.

Mitei called on families to share their challenges with church elders, administrators and their next of kin to find solutions before thing get out of hand.

In another sad news, Oboch location in Nyakach sub-county was thrown into mourning following a double tragedy where a couple met their untimely deaths hours apart.

In a devastating Monday, January 29, incident, the man identified as Job Osogo Otieno was accused of fatally assaulting his wife, Brigid Amondi Ochieng, after a series of domestic feuds.

According to a police report, Osogo tried to conceal the criminal offence by wrapping the body of the 35-year-old teacher at Obwolo Secondary School with a mat before concerned residents checked in.

An enraged mob subjected the suspect to severe beatings, prompting his urgent transfer to Nyabondo Mission Hospital.

However, his condition deteriorated, and he was then transferred to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (formerly Russia) at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where he succumbed to the injuries on Tuesday afternoon.
