A Kenyan car enthusiast is the envy of social media after transforming a nondescript saloon car into a souped-up ride.

How did Kenyan man refurbish old Toyota?

Anto Mbugua said the owner splashed a whooping KSh 500,000 to modify the white Toyota Corolla into a low-slung, sleek burgundy car.

Photos of the car in its original state showed how uninspiring it was.

It featured an all-white trim, lacked refinement in the bodywork, and boasted awful headlights and unimpressive factory wheels.

When it was handed over to him, Mbugua stripped, restored and transformed the car into a head-turning vehicle.

He added sleek headlights featuring modern illumination accents for an unmistakable modern look.

The car's profile was lowered to almost touch the tarmac. It was also accentuated with a slightly raised rear and fitted with custom rims.

In addition to painting it burgundy, he modified the car's body to feature sharpened lines, a sleek fender, and a stylish front bumper.

The interior's transformation was not showcased.

Reacting to the transformation, wowed social media users saluted Mbugua for the impressive retouch.

Details of Allan Chesang's modified car

A week ago, Trans Nzoia senator Allan Chesang turned heads after he unveiled his modified off-road vehicle.

Chesang's vehicle, which he said is for traversing flooded areas, has been modified to double as a boat and comes complete with life jackets.

A TikTok video showed that the vehicle was merged with a boat's bow to enable it to drive off from flooded roads.
