Sarah also revealed that her daughter was shy as she removed the young girl's piece of cloth, which she had wrapped around her to cover her face.

Need to save our children, pastor Ezekiel's wife

Becky looked down as she was too shy to lift her head and face the congregation during the church service.

Sarah said that Becky looked decent and presentable even without the shawl she had.

"I need to save our children," Sarah said authoritatively, addressing the dress code among young girls and women.

She noted that most mothers dress their daughters in body-hugging clothes, which she deemed improper.

Dorothy Wafula, a pastor's daughter, criticised veteran preacher and intercessor Sarah, saying she should dress her daughter well.

"Look at other men and women of God around the world. They dress their kids like kings and princes of God, not of the world. You can be classy and decent. I, for once, would rather not go to church or leave home if my father dresses me like John the Baptist," she told TUKO.co.ke.

Moi University bans tumbo cuts, transparent dresses

Separately, Moi University raised concern about increased cases of indecent dressing within its premises.

The higher learning institution based in Kesses, Uasin Gishu county, warned students to adhere to the dress code in the institution's regulations or face disciplinary actions.

In a memo dated Monday, February 5, the Acting Dean of Students, Dr Alice Mutai, expressed concern that cases of indecent dressing had reached intolerable levels and warned that those who flouted the laws would suffer the consequences of their choices.

Tumbo cuts, ripped jeans, micro mini skirts, transparent dresses, dresses that revealed bra straps, sagging trousers and plastic shoes were banned.
