Pastor Kanyari Falls To His Knees, Receives Redemption Prayer From Ezekiel Mutua

Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) boss Ezekiel Mutua has met with Pastor Victor Kanyari over his recent acts on TikTok.

Kanyari has been noted for using inappropriate language while interacting with fans on the social media platform.

What did Pastor Kanyari do?

Recently, he was presented with a pack of condoms during a church service by a member who advised him to heed the romantic interests of women but to do so safely.

Disappointed by these events, Mutua denounced Kanyari's behaviour as a travesty of religious faith and pledged to take measures to halt his actions.

However, the two met up and discussed Kanyari's recent behaviour.

Did Kanyari meet up with Ezekiel Mutua?

Kanyari was emotional and knelt for Ezekiel to place his hands on his head and pray for him.

The controversial preacher noted that he was shocked when he heard that Mutua was looking for him.

Mutua, in an exclusive with TUKO.co.ke, noted that Kanyari had looked for him after he denounced his behaviour online.

"He called for truce and promised to reform."

Kanyari said he contacted his fellow pastors to help him with Mutua's number.

"Mimi nimeshtuka. Nilikuona ukiongea nikashtuka nikasema nitatoa huyu mtu wapi niombe msamaha. (I was shocked when I saw that you were looking for me, and I wondered where I will look for you) I called every pastor I know to connect me to you."

The pastor said he did not know when the woman gifted him a pack of condoms, she was looking for views on TikTok.

"I wanted to ask for forgiveness. If there is anyone I have wronged, I am asking for forgiveness. I asked people from TikTok to come to my church, but one woman brought me condoms in church, and I laughed. I did not know it would bring so much trouble. I did not know it was content they were looking for."

Previously, singer Nadia Mukami took to social media to criticise Kanyari over his recent TikTok video.

Mukami disapproved of the clip through her Instastories, describing it as "cringe" and inappropriate for someone in his position.

She emphasised the importance of maintaining respect and decorum, particularly for those who hold influential positions within the community.
