Kenyans have been asking about his whereabouts, given that he rarely misses key government events graced by President William Ruto.

However, on Sunday, May 19, Gachagua attended a church service at Endarasha Catholic Church in Kieni Constituency, Nyeri county.

"They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues. ACTS 2: 4. On this Pentecost Sunday, I join the Christian Catholic Faithful for Holy Mass at Sacred Heart Endarasha Catholic Church, Kieni Constituency, Nyeri County," Gachagua said about the service.

The second-in-command was accompanied by Governor Mutahi Kahiga, Deputy Governor David Kinaniri, Nyeri County Senator Wahome Wamatinga, woman rep Rahab Mukami, and several MPs.

Which functions did Rigathi Gachagua miss?

As reported earlier, questions were raised about Gachagua's conspicuous absence from the public.

Unlikely of him, the deputy president did not honour part of his diary on Friday, May 10, when he was slated to lead a tree-planting exercise in Bomet.

The above went unnoticed for a time as the president and members of his Cabinet spread across the country took charge of the national event.

His absence was loud on May 15, when Uganda's president Yoweri Museveni landed in Nairobi for his three-day state visit.

During the joint addresses by Ruto and Museveni on Thursday, May 16, at State House, Nairobi, the deputy president was also a no-show, despite all the members of the Cabinet being present.
