While addressing a rally on April 16, Methu appeared to be taken aback by the residents' request, asking them why he should pay for their gift to Sifuna.

" Is the chicken mine or Sifuna's? Now, because Sifuna has taken the chicken, who should pay, me or Sifuna?" Methu questioned.
