Homa Bay - A family in Sino, Oyugis, is engulfed in sorrow and anguish after their loved one was allegedly murdered by a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer.

She stated that on April 7, at 9 am, the KDF soldier, accompanied by his brother and another individual, visited Okiro's residence, as Ramogi TV reported.

The trio forcibly took Okiro to a secluded farm where they subjected him to torture until his untimely demise.

“The deceased man’s wife recorded a statement saying her husband left home with the KDF officer and his team peacefully. She doesn’t know the third person, but the officer and his brother come from the same village with his husband,” Wachira said.

How did the KDF officer, friends kill Okiro?

A distressing video circulating online, witnessed by TUKO.co.ke, captures Okiro pleading in Dholuo that he was innocent of the alleged theft.

Despite his protests, his captors showed no mercy. They insisted on knowing who was with the victim when he allegedly stole hens from the villagers.

With his hands and feet, eyes blindfolded, one assailant relentlessly stepped on his face while another struck him with a cane and attempted to undress him.

Okiro maintained his innocence, asserting that none of his known associates were involved in criminal activities.

"I have never stolen at your home, Suli. Why are you killing me?”

The attackers then threw him, still breathing, into the trunk of their car before leaving the scene. The lifeless body of the victim was discovered abandoned at another home.

It was later retrieved and transported to Rachuonyo South Sub-County Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Subsequently, the KDF officer has been apprehended and is currently held at Oyugis Police Station.

Authorities are actively pursuing the other two suspects involved in this heinous crime.

“We arrested the KDF officer and we are still looking for the remaining two suspects in connection with the murder,” she said.

Bungoma cop stabbed to death

Meanwhile, a Kahawa West-based Bungoma cop who had attended her grandmother's funeral was found dead on her bed with deep cuts on her neck and several injuries to the head.

The officer was reported to have engaged in an argument with her husband before he allegedly descended on her with a sharp object.

A panga suspected to have been used in the heinous crime was recovered at the scene of the event.
