Nairobi - Barely hours after a video of a young girl seeking funds to continue her education went viral, she is ready to enter high school.

Ravinah Adolwa appealed to Kenyans and well-wishers to help her report to high school for the first time.

The teenager had not entered class since completing her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) last year.

When did Adolwa complete primary school?

It had been six months since she completed her primary education in 2023, scoring 352 marks in the examination.

After her video trended, Kenyans rallied to support her entry into high school after she had spent six months at home.

"See your girl.
That's what your donation today has done to Ravinah. She is all dressed up and ready to report to school tomorrow morning. I wish we could assure her that all high school fees is paid even before she steps into school," read a Facebook post.

How old is Ravinah Adolwa?

The 15-year-old looked stunning in her brand-new uniform as she fitted them out in readiness to join school.

She could not help but smile as she posed for photos in her fitting high school uniform, courtesy of Kenyans' help.

"After six months of waiting, we are finally here. Doesn't our girl look awesome in school uniform? We are fitting and buying," another post read.

When did Trans-Nzoia pupil sit for KCPE?

In other heartwarming stories, a Trans-Nzoia pupil who completed his KCPE in 2019 joined high school.

Edwin Simiyu, who scored an impressive 335 marks in the national examination, had not entered high school because of a lack of fees.

Thankfully, he could continue his studies after benefiting from a bursary scheme five years later.
