A woman sitting outside a mosque and wearing a bui bui shocked many when she revealed that she only puts on the religious garb to get food.

Wanjiru loses home after husband's death

In an interview shared by Ritah Maly on TikTok, Mary Wanjiru Ng'ang'a said that she is actually a Kikuyu, and whenever she goes there without a hijab, she doesn't get food.

"I am 67 years old; I don't have anywhere to live. I was once married, but when I lost my husband, they kicked me out. I don't have land or a house; I have been here for eight years," she said.

Muslim actor declines KSh 1.2m deal over religion
