Charles Frazier Stanley is a pastor and religious fundamentalist who has a net worth of $1.5 million. He the senior pastor of First Baptist Church, a mega-church in Atlanta, and is the founder and president of In Touch Ministries, a Christian Evangelical non-profit ministry. Dr. Stanley served two one-year terms as the president of the Southern Baptist Convention from 1984-1986 and has an evangelical, fundamentalist, and dispensationalist theology. He was born on September 25, 1932 in Dry Fork, Virginia just nine months before his father died. At the age of 12, he became a born-again Christian, and at 14 started his life's work in Christian ministry. He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond, a Masters Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate in theology from Luther Rice Seminary. He joined First Baptist Church of Atlanta in 1969 and became a senior pastor in 1971. In 1972, he launched a thirty-minute religious program called, The Chapel Hour, and in 1978 the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) started broadcasting the program.

In 1982, he founded In Touch Ministries and its radio broadcast became syndicated and could be heard in nearly every major American media market. Today, In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley can be heard in 50 languages, and is currently broadcast on approximately 500 radio stations, 300 television stations, and several satellite networks worldwide. In Touch Ministries also produces a free monthly magazine that is called, In Touch. In 2000, Charles Stanley's wife, Anna, filed for divorce after several years of separation for the couple; prior to the separation, they had been together for more than 40 years. This caused a minor controversy in the Southern Baptist Convention, but the FBA members overwhelmingly voted to keep him on as pastor. According to church bylaws, Stanley will remain eligible to be pastor of First Baptist Church of Atlanta as long as he does not remarry. Charles Stanley's son, Andy Stanley, is the pastor of North Point Community Church in nearby Alpharetta, Georgia.
