Born in 1942, he made his fortune as the Chairman of Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing Limited, a papermaking company that was founded in 1994. The company is involved in producing wood pulp, linerboard and containerboard. Until June, 2013, the company was chaired by Lee Wan Keung, who served as Chairman and Executive Director. Due to weaker paper prices and soft demand, Lee gained 50% of the company in the past year.

Now, together with his family, they own 60% of the shares of the company, which makes approximately 4 million tons of container board per year. Currently, Lee serves as Chairman, his older son, Raymond, is Chief Executive and his younger son, Man Bun, is Managing Director.
