Morara has gained popularity among Kenyans on social media platforms after beginning his tours of projects launched by Ruto in the past and sharing videos of the progress made.

On Monday, August 26, Morara claimed Ruto offered him a state job, which he declined, saying he was okay with his current occupation.

"I don't want to lie. I have received offers to join the government even from the president himself but I told him I am just fine," Morara said.

However, Morara was not specific on the type of job the president offered him.

How Hussein Mohamed responded to Morara's claims

Meanwhile, State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed responded to Morara's claims regarding the Metembe - Marani - Kegogi - Nyaore Road recently launched by the president

In a post on his X account, Kebaso said the president relaunched a project that was initially launched in 2016 by the retired president Uhuru Kenyatta.

The president's executive office spokesperson accused Kebaso of misleading Kenyans but did not refute the claims that Uhuru Kenyatta launched the project in 2016.

He said that the project was re-tendered and re-awarded in March 2024, with works starting in June 2024 and that Ruto officially relaunched the project to fulfil his promise of completing stalled roads.

Mohamed emphasised that Ruto's commitment to reviving unfinished projects demonstrates responsibility and aligns with the Kenya Kwanza agenda.

He said Ruto would continue his development tours, focusing on launching new projects, inspecting ongoing ones, and completing stalled initiatives.
