Boondocks Gang member Maddox has turned down YouTuber Oga Obinna's help going to rehab after a video emerged of him allegedly living on the streets.

In the video, Madoxx talks about how he was not getting paid for his art, which saw many claim he had resulted in substance abuse.

Following the video's viral success, Obinna rallied Kenyans to support the renowned musician so he could get to rehab.

Maddox's response to Obinna after call to help him

However, in an interview with Kenya Media Online, Madoxx shut down claims that he was battling any addiction and affirmed that he was okay.

In his words:

"I am not addicted; I am okay. I do not need to go to any rehab. I am not a fan of dr_gs; maybe they were using me. But I do not like using them. I do not want to use any, including alcohol. Right now unless I am the water ambassador."

He clarified that he was on the streets because he was not getting his cut and recalled a time when other Boondocks members would be paid, but he would not.

He appreciated his fans for always supporting him and buying him food whenever they saw him on the streets.
