Embu - After the heartbreaking news of a boda boda operator losing gallons of milk because of a poor road, a businessman has stepped in to make a difference.

Kenjava Wakagoto Mwaniki promised to repair the road in 72 hours to ensure such instances do not happen again.

After digging into his pocket and facilitating the repair in less than the anticipated hours, he shared heartwarming news.

"Kiriari road done and dusted. In a record 48 hours, we successfully delivered the St.Annes Kiriari-Kithunguriri Road section, which serves over 50,000 farmers, at a cost of KSh 218,000.

The road has been gravelled (covered) with premium eagle quarry murram, a high-quality product priced at only KSh 500 per tonne," part of his caption read.

He shared many before and after photos, showing off the amazing road transformation in the area.

The road looked better than it was and would make transportation effective and efficient with little error.

"We are ready and willing to guide our leaders on utilising cost-effective, modern, quality and durable road maintenance technologies by being in the construction industry should they be open to that conversation.
The attached photos show the same milk vendor who had an accident on this road just 48 hours apart," he added.

Tour company criticised for offering Embu rider holiday

This was after a tour company offered a fully paid holiday to the Embu rider who lost gallons of milk in a road accident.

Many opined that the boda boda man needs help to recover the losses instead of a getaway.
