In the wake of the tragic fire at Hillside Endarasha Academy, a family is desperately seeking information about their missing 11-year-old son.

Robinson Theuri, a Grade 6 pupil, was last seen on the day of the fire, but efforts to locate him have been unsuccessful.

How did Robinson Theuri disappear?

Robinson’s mother, Angeline Wambui, told TUKO.co.ke that her son was among the rescued students.

According to Wambui, a friend mentioned seeing Robinson being taken to the fire meeting point.

"A friend told us they were given blankets to cover themselves because it was freezing. After that, he never saw him again," she narrated.

The family’s frustration has grown as they struggle to get more information about the missing student.

Robinson's mother appeals for help

Robinson’s mother issued a heartfelt plea for assistance, urging anyone with information to come forward.

"If you are a parent or even a stranger, and maybe you rescued him from the Hillside Endarasha Academy fire tragedy, please contact me," she pleaded.

Anyone with information on Robinson Theuri’s whereabouts is urged to contact the school or the family immediately at 0729383360.

Like any other parent whose child is missing after the incident, Wambui is still holding on to the hope of finding him.

The tragic incident at Hillside Endarasha Academy left the community in shock, with many parents anxiously waiting for updates on their children.

  • The burnt dormitory housed 156 boys, all of whom were boarders; the school has a total enrolment of 824 students, with 316 boarders.
  • A prayer service was held on September 8 to honour the pupils who died in the tragic incident.
  • President William Ruto declared a three-day mourning period from September 9 to September 11 to honour the pupils who died in the fire.
