John Khaminwa Shares Secret To Living Long Healthy Life: "I Belong To The Ugali Group"

Veteran lawyer John Khaminwa has shared tips for living a healthy and long life.

The senior counsel, who recently celebrated his 88th birthday, said in a video shared on Facebook by Global TV Kenya that he is very strong despite his age.

Khaminwa explained that he works from 8am to 6pm and rests on Sunday.

“I turned 88 on September 10th, and I’m still going strong. Khaminwa starts working at 8 o’clock; he doesn’t leave until five or six o’clock, then he goes home,” he said.

The lawyer added that he will continue serving as long as the community appreciates and accepts his contribution.

“So long as the community still accepts that I make a contribution to the system, I will continue working. I am not going anywhere, and I am hoping people appreciate that I make a contribution,” he noted.

John Khamiwa shares tips for long, healthy life

When asked what the secret to a long life is, the veteran lawyer explained that he exercises a lot and eats healthy food.

“I do a lot of exercise; I walk a lot. I eat food my mom gave me when I was young. I belong to the ugali group,” he explained.

Khaminwa also advised the young generation to be interested in other people’s issues and not to limit themselves to their own.

“Try as much as possible to take an interest in other people’s issues, and don’t confine to yourself,” he advised.

The senior counsel also revealed that he does a lot of reading to relax.

Khaminwa's sentiments ignited reactions from Kenyans online who expressed admiration for the 88-year-old.

Elderly man goes viral over funny phone call

In separate news reported by TUKO.co.ke, an elderly man became an internet sensation after making a funny phone call.

While on the call, he was captured asking the caller to hang up, saying he was very busy, which amused netizens.

The clip made rounds on social media, with many Kenyans, including celebrities, adopting the sound.
