"I am so heartbroken. I have searched for my brother's whereabouts for months since he travelled. We constantly communicated for months until one day, when he went silent. The entire family was worried as he had expressed his desire to return home sooner because of the kind of life he found there.
The job description his agent promised him was different. It involved online scamming," she recalled, stating she gathered more information from the surrounding people.

Mercy said the family spent money on leads but was not greatly helped by the people who promised to locate her brother.

Kinuthia died after being tortured in Dubai

Kinuthia, a Chuka University graduate, passed away in Dubai after the country's authorities raided their house.

They were put in buses and lorries and transported to an isolated place far from the city, where they were tortured.

"We were very close with my brother. He was our last born. We communicated weekly, and he used to narrate his life in Dubai. Life was hard. In our last moments, we were planning how he would return home. It's better to suffer at home than in a foreign country. My brother died an excruciating death. They tortured him. He doesn't even have eyes," she painfully said.
