Kenyans Heartbroken As Zabron Singers' Soloist Marco Joseph Dies

Kenyans have learnt with utmost sadness that beloved Marco Joseph of Zabron Singers has rested.

According to Zabron Singers chairman, the lead singer died on the night of August 21 in a Dar es Salaam hospital.

In a Facebook post, Obeid Kazimili, the chairperson, said the group would soon release more information on Marco's burial.

"As the chairperson of Zabron Singers, I am saddened to announce the death of our singer, Marco Joseph Bukulu, who was also the deputy chairperson. He died in Dar es Salaam in the hospital known as Jakaya," he said.

Information reaching TUKO.co.ke indicated that Marco was undergoing treatment for a heart condition when he passed on last night.

Kenyans mourn Zabron Singers' Marco Joseph

Zabron singers are popular among Kenyans, and some of their hit songs, such as Mkono wa Bwana, Sweetie Sweetie, and Uko Single, are sung at major events.

They have also previously visited Kenya and are said to be President William Ruto's favourite singers, as they received an invitation to perform during his inauguration in 2022.

Kenyans have since taken to social media to mourn the singer's death. Here are some of the comments:

Where do Zabron singers come from?

The Zabron Singers are a religious music group based in Tanzania. They specialises in Christian music.

Over the years, the group has established a reputation as one of East Africa's most gifted due to their deep and uplifting melodies.

One of the songs that made the group popular in Kenya is Sweetie Sweetie.

Rachel Ruto hosts Zabron Singers

In a related article published on TUKO.co.ke, Rachel Ruto hosted the Tanzanian choir at State House, Nairobi. On Wednesday, September 14, 2022 the first lady posted numerous photos alongside the gospel ministers at the house on the hill.

In other news, renowned gospel singer Bonny Mwaitege was recently forced to deny rumours of his death, which emerged on social media.

Kenyan gospel singer Stephen Kasolo dismissed the rumours and clarified that Mwaitege was alive and healthy.

Mwaitege, who had just visited Kenya before the rumours emerged online, condemned those who shared the false information.
