Kericho Residents Kill One Of Giant Snakes That Attracted Many Along Major Highway: "A Big Threat"

• Corner C residents in Kericho county finally killed a huge snake in their neighbourhood that had attracted a lot of attention from motorists along the Kisumu- Kericho highway
• Previously, the residents had complained bitterly about snakes invading their neighbourhood, citing the fact that their children, women and animals were in danger
• In a post shared on Facebook, the animal was seen on a tree after it was killed, and it drew mixed reactions from netizens as some thought the residents should have let it live

Residents of Corner C in Kericho county have killed one of the snakes that have been making them live in fear.

How did the snakes attract travellers on highway?

The snake had recently become a local tourist attraction, with cars stopping for passengers to catch a distant glimpse of it.

It was among the giant serpents that some people in the area said had invaded the neighbourhood from the nearby forest and would bask in the sun for everyone to see.

At some point, the people were afraid that the snakes would harm children, women going to get water and animals which were grazing around.

Video shows man in fear over massive snake

In another story, a video of a young man displaying tremendous fear when a snake keeper carefully placed a serpent around his neck emerged.

The clip, posted on Facebook, depicted the visible stress in the man's eyes and his terrifying experience.
