Kiambu Hubby Speaks After Viewing Wife's Body Following Her Death In Saudi: "Alama Kwa Shingo"

Kiambu - The family of a young lady who mysteriously vanished only to be found dead months later has spoken.

The heartbroken husband of Joyce Wangari Mungoya, who died in Saudi Arabia after going missing, has shared details about her death.

When did Wangari travel to Saudi Arabia?

James Macharia Kanyi shared he used to communicate with his wife since she landed in the Gulf in May 2022.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Macharia said his lovely wife of over 10 years went silent in December 2023.

"We tried to contact the agency, which assured us she was fine and would return home soon. Even when I talked to her, she was excited to return home until she went silent. She never raised an alarm that she was in danger or anything was wrong till her disappearance," the saddened man said.

Macharia opens up about his wife's last note

He found out about her demise around May 2024 and appealed for help to bring the body of his wife home.

He said his wife had left a note to the office of the agency, which was a desperate call for help, noting she was going through mistreatment from her boss.

"She required urgent assistance as she was being denied food, among other mistreatments by the boss after their fallout. She was getting sick and did not get any treatment," he added.

What did Macharia say about wife's death?

The Kiambu father of three said his wife's body arrived on Saturday, September 21, and he went to view it.

According to the postmortem report done in Saudi, the woman allegedly died of illness, but Macharia differed.

"She looked like she had some marks on her neck, as though she was strangled either by something or someone. Her death is mysterious, but I will not dig deeper. All I want is to bury her and ask the government to intervene so that we may get justice for her," he cried.

In another story, the body of Silvia Waithira, who tragically died in Saudi Arabia months ago, was finally repatriated and laid to rest.

Her prolonged stay in the foreign land, coupled with the mysterious circumstances of her death, left her family in deep sorrow and seeking answers.

Waithira had travelled to Saudi Arabia for better opportunities, a path many Kenyans chose.
