Kiambu - Nominated ward representative Ezra Kabuga Kihara has died in a tragic accident along Thika Road in Juja.

The nominated MCA tragically lost his life when his car collided with a lorry and caught fire near Mang’u High School.

What Kiambu governor said about Ezra Kabuga's death

The incident occurred at 5.30 am on Sunday, September 22, while the lawmaker was travelling from Nairobi to Thika Town.

Kiambu governor Kimani Wamatangi shared the sad news on his social media page, describing Kabuga as a promising young leader.

"It was with a deep sense of loss that I received the sad news of the death of nominated Member of County Assembly Hon. Ezra Kabuga Kihara. Kabuga was a vibrant and promising young leader, whose commitment and passion for serving the people of Kiambu was evident in every aspect of his work," Wamatangi said.

Wamatangi said Kabuga's work in the county assembly would be remembered as proof of his commitment.

"His work in the County Assembly and Kiambu will be remembered as proof of his commitment to making a difference. He was a friendly and kind person, always driven to improve the lives of those around him," he added.

How one person died in Machakos accident

Elsewhere, One person was fatally injured after their car collided with a trailer from behind at Konza City, Machakos.

Two other individuals were injured when their pickup truck collided with a trailer from behind. Both vehicles were heading towards Nairobi, and the deceased died at the scene.

The injured were transported to Machakos Level 5 Hospital for specialised treatment, and the vehicle was towed to a police station

Governor Wavinya Ndeti stated that the Muumandu ambulance crew responded swiftly to the scene and provided first aid to the injured.
