A man has pulled millions of TikTok users at their heartstrings after sharing how he experienced the best and worst days of his life in a period of two weeks.

Mavundla Philip did not prepare viewers for the fatal twist of his story as he participated in the How Much Did It Hurt TikTok challenge.

In the TikTok video, he started by posting a happy picture of himself, followed by a photo dated December 16, 2023, his wedding day.

In the beautiful photo, the newly wedded couple looks into each other's eyes, their faces illuminating the joy and hope of spending a lifetime together. Their love is so strong that it adds to the saturation and hues of the image.

Philip and his bride's smiles in the photo leave everyone smiling back. It is truly a beautiful wedding picture.

However, TikTok users were stunned as the photo that followed in the post was of a burial ceremony. It is dated December 30, 2023.

The tearjerking image showed a melancholic Philip, overcome with grief while mourning his wife, with whom he had just tied the knot two weeks before.

The photo shows him touching the coffin his new wife sleeps in, never to open her eyes after a horrific car accident.

In the last image on his post, Philip is seen scooping a handful of soil from a shovel as he stands by her gravesite.

This image is a sharp contrast to the first photo of his post. Here, grief lowers the photo's saturation, and the thick cloud of sadness and loss is nearly palpable to any viewer.

Family and friends hold on to him, also trying to be strong for him.

Philip's video goes viral

Philip made the post on Thursday, August 22, and in just 24 hours, the video has received millions of views. Many are struggling to understand how one can heal from such pain.

Here are some of the comments:

@Shoaniiey said:

"I have never been so hurt because of a stranger. My deepest condolences to you, brother."

@Dakalo said:

"I thought I was going through a lot, but this!?"

@Nabanda:

"Another day we cry for a stranger on this app. Sending you virtual hugs. May God give you strength."

@Precious

"In less than 15 days. I pray God heals you."
