Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is facing impeachment threats from a faction within Kenya Kwanza leaders.

This comes amid escalating tensions between him and President William Ruto, particularly following Gachagua's recent comments about the administration.

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has aligned himself with those calling for Gachagua's removal, suggesting that the deputy president will be ousted within two weeks, despite the lack of a formal process for such action.

Kenyans react to Sudi's claim

A section of Kenyans has shared varied responses to Sudi's assertion.

Muturi Prince claimed:

"The truthful man is going nowhere, mnapenda uongo ndio sababu hamtaki Riggy G. God has poured extraordinary love in the hearts of the majority of Kenyans for DP."

Generali Donald Tumo advised:

"Riggy G is going nowhere. Zoea hiyo sauti for the next three years bwana engineer."

Bernaculate Ogonya said:

"If Riggy G goes then I swear the whole government is being dissolved we go for elections. I once tweeted that the fight between Ruto and Riggy G would be worse than that of Uhuru and Ruto."

Kericho Icon observed:

"Power is transient. Impeaching Rigathi Gachagua can have far-reaching consequences, and often, they do not serve the long-term interests of stability and unity. Political issues are better addressed through dialogue and consensus-building rather than divisive actions like impeachment. Such decisions can destabilize not just the government but also public trust in democratic processes."

Caroh Maina noted:

"Hot air."

Haggai Kimonge posed:

"Focus on service delivery. Avoid side shows za impeachment. Nobody impeached Ruto when they differed with his then-boss Uhuru Kenyatta. They could not even shake each other's hands, but Uhuru let him be until he finished his term and today he is the Head of State. Channel your energy on important things, what if the plot backfires?"

Eli Sha said:

"Tables turn, Oscar. We will remind you of this when your power ends."

Njora Wa Wanjiru

"There are a few people who are tired of one specific person, day and night they are not sleeping plotting how to get rid of him, what they don't know is that we are tired of all of them. An attempt to remove one and we shall drain the whole swamp! Mark my word, Dust will be served everywhere. End of truth!"

Haggai Kimonge added:

"It's about to go down."
