Lilian Gati Robi left home on Tuesday, September 10, boarding an Ena Coach bus from her home in Migori to Nairobi.

She was returning to Mount Kenya University (MKU) after the institution's break when she disappeared.

Her father, Michael Robi, said he last talked to his daughter that day and her phone went off in the evening.

"I was told she was last seen at the National Archives, where she removed her SIM card and the beads on her hair," he said.

According to fresh reports, Gati, a third-year student pursuing nursing at MKU-Thika, is admitted to the hospital.

Taita-Taveta Sub-county Police Commander John Ndichu said the 20-year-old was brought to the hospital by well-wishers.

"She is being taken care of in the hospital. She is not well, but we will investigate what transpired to get to the bottom line," he said.
