"I found out my wife was renting a house with another woman where they would hide thieves and also sell substances. There were a lot of vices taking place in that house that she never told me. It was the reason she was welcoming to the kids who came to our house and always defended the other lady, saying she had so much going on in her life," he said.

Karanja claimed his wife sponsored several illegal acts in the rented house, and when the business went down, it took a toll on them.

Did Karanja's wife sell their livestock?

He said his wife, who was not on good terms with him because of her defensive nature regarding her business partner, destroyed the house structures they had built.

"She also sold our livestock and cut down all the trees, selling them as wood. She also ran away with our household possessions, leaving me with nothing. The only house she did not destroy was one built of brick. I walked to an empty home and house after I arrived home from Nairobi," he painfully said.

The man from Murang'a said that since then, he has never communicated with his wife, and that is how their 20-year marriage ended.
