Murang'a Mother, Son Arrested Over Alleged Murder Of Their Kin: "They Argued"

A woman from Murang'a allegedly conspired with her son to participate in the murder of her other son.

Why did Murang'a woman kill son?

The deceased, identified as John Ng'ang'a, was reportedly found dead in his bed.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, residents of Gatunduguru village in Murang’a county stated that the woman and her younger son conspired against Ng'ang'a.

Ng'ang'a reportedly arrived home late on the night of his untimely death. He then got into an argument with his mother, during which he broke a window.

This led the mother to call her other son, Morris, who came out with a rungu and struck Ng'ang'a.

Eyewitnesses said that the altercation between Ng'ang'a and his family was caused by his alleged behaviour of taking and selling things from home without permission.

"He removed iron sheets from their home and sold them. Plucked avocadoes and sold them. He has sold so many things," one resident said.

The mother and son were taken to a police station in Murang'a as investigations into the matter continue.

Nyandarua man kills daughter during fight with wife

In a separate incident, a domestic row in Munyaka village in Kinangop ended tragically after a man turned against his estranged daughter, slashing her with a panga and leaving her for dead.

Njabini OCPD Peter Nzimbi confirmed the incident, saying the man turned against his 17-year-old daughter, who walked in during the attack.

Nzimbi said the daughter was returning home after escorting her two siblings to school when he found the father attacking the mother.

He added that after the attack, the man reportedly harmed himself as the wife, who was seriously injured, was taken to hospital.
