His family, who had been desperately seeking his whereabouts since his disappearance, confirmed the heartbreaking news on Thursday, August 29.

Victor’s sister, Judith Achieng, relayed the grim development, revealing that an unidentified woman had notified them.

"We received a call from a certain lady telling us to confirm from Machakos mortuary that our brother's body was there," Achieng' told TUKO.co.ke.

She added that the stranger switched off the phone after delivering the heartbreaking message.

How did Victor Oduor disappear?

Victor had left his home in Lucky Summer on Thursday, August 22, after an argument with his wife, Daisy Achieng’.

He left behind all his personal belongings, including his phone, identification card, and wallet, further deepening concerns about his well-being.

His sister, Judith, shared that his phone remained on after he left, but no calls or messages were received.

Victor's last known location was along Kangundo Road, but there had been no sightings or leads until the devastating discovery.

Family’s plea for help

He was last seen wearing grey shorts, a black shirt, and blue sandals.

His motorbike, which he used to work with Apollo Tours as a delivery man, was also left behind at his home.

The sudden disappearance left his family and friends deeply worried, especially given that he was a new father to a one-month-old baby, Lera.

His wife, Daisy, had also been anxiously awaiting news, and the family appealed to the public for help tracing him.

Heartbreaking conclusion

In the days following his disappearance, the family had reached out to friends and filed a missing persons report with the police.

However, little progress had been made in locating him, heightening their distress.
