"When he left home, I had asked him the previous day if it was possible for him not to go to town because of the demonstrations. On Tuesday morning, I forgot to remind him, but I had told him the previous day.
I was disturbed when he failed to return home the following day. Together with my friends, I started looking for him. We went to Kibera, where he frequently visited, then Kawangware and many other places before going to the police station," she told Citizen TV Kenya.

Peter Macharia Njehia treated at KNH

Wambui from Nairobi went to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), where she received information about her 27-year-old son.

"I was told he was brought by an ambulance and gave him first aid. He refused to enter the ward so he was discharged. When I heard he had gunshot wounds, I was confused. You cannot know if he went somewhere and was overwhelmed and fell along the road and died," she said.

The heartbroken mother asked for help from Kenyans to trace her son and reunite with him, having visited several hospitals and morgues with no results.
