Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has consoled former Public Service CS Moses Kuria, who lost his job when President William Ruto dissolved the Cabinet on July 11.

What did Rigathi Gachagua tell Kuria?

Speaking on Wednesday, August 21, Gachagua urged Kuria not to be discouraged, assuring him that he would find another job soon.

He appeared to reference a scripture stating that when God closes one door, He always opens another.

"To my brother Moses Kuria, God will open a door for you," Gachagua said.

Kuria was one of the Cabinet secretaries not reappointed to the president's new Cabinet.

The deputy president's statement prompted mixed reactions, with some people calling for Kuria to be reinstated.

In a separate story, Kuria opened up about his struggles since being sacked from the Cabinet.

During an interview on Monday, August 12, the outspoken politician revealed that his phone calls had reduced drastically.

The former CS observed that he was tempted to take his phone to a technician, thinking it had an issue.

However, Kuria maintained that it was all part of life for a national public servant, adding that it has both positive and negative aspects.

Kuria also mentioned that since losing his position, he had faced significant trolling from both the online community and media outlets.

Kuria claimed that media houses have also participated, with one unnamed outlet dedicating time each morning to troll him.
