M-Pesa API engineer

One of the openings is for an M-Pesa API engineer, who will report to the API engineering lead.

The M-Pesa API engineer will provide technical expertise, collaborating with various product owners to define and refine API requirements, among other duties.

The deadline for applications is Monday, September 23.

Database administrator

Reporting to the database administration manager, the database administrator will be responsible for database management and support, including backup and recovery, automation, and maintenance.

They must ensure 99.99% availability for all critical databases. The deadline for applications is September 20.

Senior cyber defense centre analyst

The senior cyber defense centre analyst will monitor, assess, and defend Safaricom’s Enterprise Information System.

They will report to the team leader of the Cyber Defense Centre (CDC). The application deadline is September 20.

Fraud operations analyst

The fraud operations analyst (FOA) will conduct fraud investigations, data analysis, systems forensic acquisitions, and manage customer fraud escalations. They will report to the chapter lead for fraud investigations.

Job scams warning

Earlier, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) dismissed a fake letter directing JSS teachers to submit their names for deployment to JSS schools in 2025.

Similarly, the Kenya Private Sector Association warned Kenyans against job scams on social media, where scammers ask for recruitment fees—one of the red flags of suspicious job offers.
