Kisii - Nominated Senator Esther Okenyuri Anyieni, popularly known as Essy, has turned heads with her stunning dress code.

The politician donned a school uniform during a school event where she went to give back to society.

She put on a fitting Mosensema Mixed Secondary School uniform, giving sweet 16 vibes during the occasion.

"In the spirit of giving back to society, I did donate books to the students of Mosensema Mixed Secondary School as support towards having them focus fully on their studies," she said.

Mchakato wa Usomi under Essy Okenyuri Nyaituga Foundation

Okenyuri emphasised the need for education in society and how it helps change people's lives.

She highlighted its pivotal essence in the community to bring positive change and transform destinies.

"The Essy Okenyuri Nyaituga Foundation, under its programme, christened 'Mchakato Wa Usomi', has appreciated the educational disparities that students in rural areas face and comes in to bridge the class gap that has disadvantaged many school-going children to the point of truancy," she continued.

As she donated books to the school in Kisii county, Okenyuri said the goal was to push the agenda for reading among students.

She noted knowledge is necessary for critical thinking, which affects decisions made in life-changing circumstances.

"We continue to partner with like-minded individuals and organisations that share in our vision of empowering children, their background notwithstanding," she concluded.
