Why did Koech quit at Tenwek High School?

"I started the catering hustle while I was still working at the school. Eventually, I got more customers and it was time for me to leave," he added Manyun, a hilarious nickname by the boys.

How does Koech market his business?

According to Koech, he started his business with 200 cups and a similar number of plates and spoons. He uses the same to serve at weddings and funerals, among other events.

Although starting the business wasn't easy, Koech says he usually does his own marketing by talking to people.

"I also cook very good food, and that has really marketed me. Word of mouth has also helped me; whenever I give good service people share my contacts with their friends and family," he told TUKO.co.ke.

When an old boy from Tenwek High School saw him working, he praised him for a job well done.

"Those who went to Tenwek High School, do you remember this cook? He is now the big cheff in town, especially Silibwet township ward. In case you need good services contact him on 0703104122," said Korir Elisha.
